Frost Byte

The Frost Byte is a skin in Battle Bears Gold for the Demo class. It was only available from December 2011 through Febuary 2012, and then from December 2012 to February 2013, as part of a special holiday release of Battle Bears Royale, also featuring special holiday skins for every other class available at that time.

It costs 50 Gas and has no level lock.

Appearance[]

The Frost Byte skin features Tillman dressed up as a snowman. He has typical black button-eyes and a carrot for a nose. His mouth is made out of small black pieces. A red scarf covered in white stripes is tied around his neck. There are three more black buttons on his stomach for decoration. All details on his black robotic arms are colored red, including the hubcaps in his wheels.

His backpack is all green, with typical Christmas pine decorations, covered with yellow garlands and small red lights. On his head there is a small puddle of yellow-coloured snow.

During December 2012, this skin was given for free to any player that bought the Demo class within a limited amount of time.
Frost Byte is a pun on frostbite, which can happen to someone in seriously cold conditions. When one has frostbite, his fingers and toes turn purple and black, and can drop off. Byte is probably a reference to Tillman being robotic and hence using bytes (as in computers) to function properly.
This skin was discontinued in February 2012, and was available again until February 2013. It will possibly make its return this December.
The yellow snow puddle on his head is a reference to the common internet phrase "Do not eat the yellow snow" started by the band Frank Zappa in 1974 with the song Don't eat the yellow snow.
